Dr. Joel Hartjes was born in Appleton, Wisconsin. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 and from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1990. He served in the Dental Corps of the United States Air Force from 1990 to 1995. He has been an Associate with Dr. Veit since 1995. He is a member of the Dane County Dental Society (President, 2003), the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He, his wife Lindsay and their two children are members of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Middleton. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, motorcylcing and attending his kids' sporting events.

Assisting Dr Hartjes is Ann. Ann is a graduate of the Dental Assistant program at MATC. She has been an assistant with Dr. Hartjes for 3 years.
